We are pleased to receive the visit of Dr. Rubén Aldaco García, who will be from January 21 to February 21, 2018.
Rubén Aldaco is a Chemical Engineer (UC, 2001) and Doctor of Chemical Engineering (Extraordinary Doctorate Award) (UC, 2005). Currently, he is a tenured university professor and researcher responsible for the UC-DEPRO-ACV group, whose objective is the development and application of the Life Cycle Analysis tool to the development of innovative processes and the development of instruments, techniques and case studies for decision making with sustainability criteria.
Author of more than 50 scientific articles in journals of high impact index in the area of chemical engineering and environmental science and engineering, as well as author of more than a hundred communications to national and international conferences and scientific conferences. He is co-author of three monographs edited by the Government of Cantabria on Best Available Techniques in the waste management and food sectors. He has participated in several national and international projects, as well as in different agreements and contracts with public bodies and companies in the area of chemical engineering and sustainability of processes and products.
During his stay in Peru, Professor Aldaco will collaborate with members of the Peruvian Life Cycle Network with the aim of seeking funding in European projects, as well as in scientific collaborations related to the agri-food sector.
