We are pleased to receive the visit of Dr. Pedro Villanueva Rey, who will be from January 19 to June 18, 2018 with a postdoctoral fellowship from the Xunta de Galicia.
Pedro Villanueva Rey holds a PhD in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Postdoctoral researcher of the Program of the Xunta de Galicia in the Environmental Biotechnology Group (BioGroup), belonging to the Department of Chemical Engineering of the USC. He graduated in 2009 in Biology from the USC. In 2011 he obtained his Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering at the USC. In 2015 he obtained his doctorate in Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the USC. His research focuses on the application of the Life Cycle Analysis methodology and the evaluation of environmental sustainability in agri-food and fishing processes. Currently, it has a total of fourteen articles published in scientific journals of the Scientific Citation Index, two book chapters and thirteen contributions to congresses.
During his stay in Peru, he will collaborate with members of the Peruvian Life Cycle Network on issues related to viticulture, ecotoxicity in agricultural lands and in the water footprint.
