JOB OPENING AT PUCP: SOCIAL MEDIA AND SECRETARIAT INTERN POSITION AT PELCAN

The Peruvian Life Cycle Assessment and Industrial Ecology Network (PELCAN), a research group of the Department of Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), is now hiring!

We seek an undergraduate student that can support us with social media and management activities of the Secretariat of the research group. The position will imply a 30 hour per week dedication.

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a motivated candidate, keen to participate in a competitive research group at an international level. The job position will be based at the premises of PUCP in Lima (Peru), although will be remote while the restrictions in the city of Lima continue due to COVID-19.

The candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary and international team and will be involved in the administrative and dissemination activities of the research group, and assist in the overall management of PELCAN. An important task for the candidate will be to support in the organization of the LCA Foods 2022 Conference.

The candidate will be expected to support the group in seeking new funding opportunities in international calls.

The job position will begin in the second trimester of 2021 until October 31^st 2022.

PROFILE

Education

• Undergraduate student in any of these disciplines: Environmental, Civil, Chemical or Process Engineering, or Industrial Ecology. Students in the fields of Management or Communication are also encouraged to apply.

Competencies

• Advanced use of Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office tools is required.
• Advanced use of social media (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, YouTube…), as well as Zoom, Teams and Meet.
• Experience in the management of projects is an asset.
• The candidate should think interdisciplinary and holistically.
• The candidate should be available in Peru.
• The applicant should be creative, a team player and have proven organizational skills.

Language

• Fluency in English is required.
