DIET-PERU: Assessing the impact of COVID-19 on the environment-economy-nutrition nexus of DIETary patterns and food loss and waste management in PERU

The Diet-Peru project aims to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Peruvian diets from a nutritional, health, socioeconomic, waste generation, and environmental perspective using life cycle and circular economy metrics. This project builds upon previous studies on agri-food products and dietary patterns. However, the current project emphasizes the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on diet profiles, particularly in terms of nutrition, and how this affects economic and environmental variables. Additionally, it aims to delve into new vulnerable socioeconomic groups, including migrants or domestic workers.
