The project consists of training 05 Peruvian coffee organizations through the use of the CalCafé tool. This tool will measure the environmental impact in the early stages of the coffee value chain, from production and crop management to product delivery for export. This will allow calculating carbon emissions as well as carbon sequestration by coffee plants and agroforestry systems. Additionally, it will serve as a tool to differentiate environmentally sustainable coffee in international markets, being the first step towards the development of eco-labels or environmental declarations.
