Talk by Professor Maria Margallo

On Thursday, March 15, 2018, it has developed the talk “What are the most sustainable techniques in the canned anchovy industry? Giving a solution under a life cycle approach “having Dr. Maria Margallo as a lecturer who is a professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering of the University of Cantabria of Spain.

The visit of Professor Margallo is part of an agreement between the PUCP and the University of Cantabria within the framework of the project “Advancing and measuring consumption and sustainable production for a low carbon economy in middle-income economies and new industrialized countries” ( Advance SCP). The stay of Professor Margallo lasts one month. He previously held a talk on waste in September of last year.

Dr. María Margallo has joined the Peruvian Life Cycle Network of the Engineering Department of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru for a commissioned investigation. In the context of the Ibero-American Scholarship for young professors and researchers of Banco Santander, during the period between January 25 and March 25, 2018, it will be working on the Environmental Evaluation of Landfills in Peru: proposals for improvement of waste management.
