The Peruvian Life Cycle Network will be in charge of the Biocomposite Life Cycle Environmental Assessment, corresponding to the “Value of residual biomass for advanced 3D materials” project (ValBio-3D), whose objective is to evaluate the life cycle of the Environmental impacts of the biocomposite, including materials and products. In this sense, the main research topics are: Product Life Cycle Assessment, Product Carbon Footprint and Product Footprint.
The ValBio-3D Project consists of developing efficient technology for the production of sustainable bio-based materials and 100% agro-industrial waste, addressing the bioeconomics of the future and based on Cost efficient production for biochemicals, bioplastics, biocomposites and nanocelluloses Made to measure.
This project starts as the winners of Contest E035-2015-01 through Executive Resolution No. 107-2016-FONDECYT-DE. Its participating countries are Argentina, Norway, Germany, Chile, Finland and Peru; Being Argentina the coordinating country.
